It's been a tough weekend

On friday I got the call that a Very close friend had passed away.
Merry Fucking christmas to you too god.

So the weekend has been sad.
That being said my 2 daughters were happy with thier
gifts and we celebrated christmas with the inlaws and Hannukka
with mine.

Poker has been a fricking mess this weekend.
Play well and get kicked in the balls. Rinse and Repeat over and over and over.
and to top it off We played live during MNF and I was the first or 2nd to lose in both games.
I am such a donk.
Well atleast the patriots are picking up steam at the right time to make a run
at 3 in a row.

Bring on the colts it won't even be close.

thats about all for now.

back to Full tilt

I played in the 9pm 10k on ftp and donked around for about 30 min.
I got it all in with tptk but someone liked to chase thier flush and got there.

So I sat down in a 2/4 6max game and got cold decked for about 40 min but only managed to
drop 60 bucks. I didn't hit one flop when i had cards. Not fun but so it goes.
I had one guy yell at me for chasing But I had 2 pair to his 1 pair until he caught his flush on the river.

so -86 for the night but things could have been worse, I think I am getting a better
handle on 6max but the swings can sure be crazy. but it is certainly more fun since u
get to play many more hands.

bet365 and bonus whoring

I signed up for bet365 which is a prima room with the intention of bonus whoring them
since they have a promo where for every 50 raked hands you get $10.

but man these players are crazy. It is odd since most of them are Euro's
but some of these clowns have no clue how to play, That being said I ended up +36 before the
bonus after 500 hand. Not great but I will take it.

It should have been +150 but was the victim of a few suckouts to drag me down.
still free money is free money right?

back to FTP to grind it out there.

I wish I was in Vegas

Man oh man do I wish I was there with the rest of
the Bloggers for the winter blogger tourney's.

It stinks to be in Massachusetts in 30 degree weather with 12 inches of fresh snow,
when I could be in vegas drinking it up with the rest of the degenerate gamblers.

I'm Back

Wow been neglecting the blog lately. I really haven't had much to say so I chose not
to say anything. (not like anyone reads this anyways)

Been plugging away at Fulltilt, I have moved up to the 3/6 6max and am enjoying it.
but the swings can be brutal.

thats all for now.

My Biggest Leak

I’ve got to stop playing tournaments....
They’re a leak in my bankroll that’s keeping me from getting ahead.
I do ok but not well enough. and they just make me spin my wheels as far as my Bankroll goes.
I find I am much more consistent Playing Limit ring games.
grinding it out, Yes it isnt that exciting but I find it to be much more profitable and less
of an emotional rollercoaster when some Dumbass thinks it is a good idea to call your
preflop raise with 45 suited. and knocks you out 10 from the money.

tough weekend

Saturday 11/19

Happy birthday to me.

We had a tourney at the bar that I work at on saturday aftrenoon.
on friday night we had about 20 signed up. So I get to the bar at 11 for a 12pm start and there are
like 25 people there. we ended up with 32 runners.

1500 chips and 30 min levels. I really never got it going. Got bluffed off of 55 by a donkey that had 22 think i had AK 1 time and that was it for hands. I basically had nothing playable for the last hour. It also didn't help that I had the chip leader to my left most of the time.

He was someone who would bet the flop whether he hit it or not. He got lucky a few times. but he did end up making the money. but only 3rd.

I played a few sng's but that is all all weekend. Too much football on sunday.

Atleast the Patriots won again. 2 game winning streak.
Superbowl here we come. Yeah right.

Free Money at Party Poker

Free Money for New Party Poker Players Thats Right Free Money!

This has been around for a while, but I need someplace to send people who ask me about this, so if you already have an account at Party Poker You are screwed.

Instant Bankroll is a program offered by Poker Source Online that gives you a free $75 bankroll at Party Poker.

Here's how it works:

You sign up for Instant BankRoll by clicking on the banner or one of these links. You also sign up for a new account at Party Poker. Instant BankRoll will send you an email with a toll-free phone number to call so you can verify that you are 21 or over and that you haven't done this promotion before. The phone is often busy, especially on the weekends. Once you complete the phone call, they deposit $75 in your new Party Poker account. Once you play 500 raked hands, you get another $25 bonus. At that point you can cash out the money or keep playing.

Only one person per household qualifies for this offer. If you already have a Play Money account at Party Poker you can still do this promotion, but you have to create a NEW Party Poker account using a different Email address from your first one.

If you already had a real money account at Party Poker or aren't 21 yet, please don't try to cheat the system and do this promotion.

happy Birthday

Today is my oldest daughters birthday. I find it amazing that she is 7.
it seems like just yesterday I was holding her for the first time.

Happy Birthday Sweetie.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Poker has been up and down the last few days.
tried playing some 5/10 6 max and got smacked back down to the 2/4 game where i am
more comfortable. which is fine for now.

i also signed up for Jetset poker since they are going to be starting thier wsop promos
and I am going back.

was playing on a 4/8 at jetset with some of the worst players the other side of poker blue,
and would have had a much better session if I could have stayed away from the 1 other good
player on the table.

but never mind I still ended up +50 after about 1 hour of screwing around.
sometimes it is fun to Lag it up.

thats all for today folks have a nice day.

Sunday

after playing flag football in the morning (and Not getting hurt).

I logged into Bodog and made my Wagers on The NFL
after consulting my man Bcbobers I placed a $200 if bet
if the panthers win I roll it onto the Seahawks.

while watching the panthers crush thier opponent I said lets make another bet
so I parlayed 75 on the seahawks and the Giants.
after squirming on the giants for awhile they managed to cover so +600 for the day on NFL.

I logged into Full tilt and played alittle 6 max. I am really starting to like this game even
though the swings can be pretty rough.

I played for about 90 min while waiting for the Freeroll on PokerBlue to start.
I got up about $100 at the 2/4 table before I left with +60.

The freeroll didnt go so well. I hung around till about 50th and that is where I ended.
the play early on is sooo weak people would just bluff and fold. but you have some people that
get big stacks and make the worst calls and get lucky.

we had one guy at our table who had 600 and he was in the BB for 300 and he folded to a 300 raise.

don't know what he was thinking.

too bad the wsop promo is ending.
but not a bad day. +60 at FTP.

Going away party

My buddy Rob is going to Iraq.
so we made sure to take him out for one last good time.

it started with a card game at a friends house which I had to show up 25 mins late for
since I had to work.

no big deal they allowed the first 2 people to bust out to rebuy
No problem after getting down to the felt I hung in there and ended up chopping the tourney
for $90.

then we took rob out to dinner and then to a dance show. Let me tell you
I was amazed at the girls at this club Most of them were terrible,
The hottest lady there was selling shots.

but atleast i put the money I won in the card game to good use.

Enjoy your free trip Rob come back in one piece.

6 max ohh my god

I am trying to learn to play 6 max.

my only venture into 6 max previously ended in a complete disaster. (me Losing)

but I have been reading up and so I sat down at a 2/4 6 max table on Full tilt.
and boy do I love 6 max You can play very aggressive which in full ring is usually not a good thing. plus you get to see alot more hands but 3 betting with kq i still need some work with.
It does amaze me when you go to showdown and the people show thier hands and they have nothing or bottom pair and they thought 67 was worth 3 betting pre flop.

amazing.

I think I am going to like it

Funny Picture

I just thought this was slightly amusing.
sure clinton was a womanizer but atleast he wasn't a drunk or a drug addict.
still waiting to see how long Libby spends in jail but I am guessing Bush will pardon him
on his way out of office.

sorry for the political slant.

Arrrghh, I hate Monday's

Well the Donkey's at Poker Blue finally caught up to me.

-120 for the day.
every hand I had someone would have better. But hands they shouldn't have been in with
in the first place.

get AK first hand and raise it up, I get 2 callers flop come k89 turn is a blank river is a blank.
I have bet every street what does the winner turn over 89o?? why call 2 cold with 89?

just one of those days every hand was like this.
I will get it back soon enough.

Played the 24+2 8k on Full tilt and got it all in with AQ got called by KQ and he caught his K on the turn.

why do people want to gamble with KQ?????? for all thier chips it doesn't make sense but
then again i was the one who lost.

i did come in 2nd in a 20+2 sng on full tilt to atleast get on the winning side once yesterday.

Rough Weekend

atleast my NFL CHAMPION NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS found it in thier hearts to
come back and beat the bills.

on the poker front play alittle and lost and lost and lost.

lost the rest of my roll on UB. in a $20 sng finished 4th and a $20 HU sng.
such is life.

played cards at my Neighbors house sunday and just couldn't hit.
3 $20 sngs later and I am down $60.

listening to my friend place bets on the sunday football games gave me the bug.
so I teased the Panthers and Raiders. +180

so atleast that covers my poker losses.
not the best weekend but you can't win all the time. Right????

Yet Another Quickie

+107
Playing at Poker Blue during my 30 min luch break.
Had to step up to 3/6 since i didn't want to play 2/4 short.
still working on that aspect of my poker game.

I don't get why these donkeys don't know how to lay a hand down.
I mean AK is probably no good when there are 4 to a flush right?
but they just call you down and fold at showdown.

Poker Blue

Played a quick 50 min session at PokerBlue
my referral id is: gzuschrist
https://player.pokerblue.com/Register/PBreg.aspx?SiteID=PB

+125
won 1 big pot when i limped with AA from UTG (I know this is bad)
but it had been getting raised up from the 2 donkeys in LP.
so true to form 2 more limp then the donkey in LP raises the button reRaises and I cap it. so 4 people call 4 bets preflop and My AA is good.

hopefully this sunday I can win the tourney and go back to the wsop.

Fullt Tilit again

Go home to late to play in the 10k tourney.
so i played in a 2 table SNG.

Patience.

ended up taking 1st after about 15 min of headsup play. for a nice win of $144.
started heads up with over 20k but he managed to win a few coinflips and had me down to
about 7-8k but i hung in there and worked my way back up.

Just be patient.

then in a couple of hands it was over just like that.

Going Full Tilt

I have heard good things about the tourneys at full tilt so last night I found my way over there doing a Promotion for PokerSourceOnline.

I bought into the 24+2 8k guarenteed. I started off ok got up to about 2k before I lost almost
all of my chips. Down to 500 but blinds were only at 30/60 so i had time.

My biggest weakness in tourneys is being patient. But I waited and waited and waited for a hand.
Finally I got KK and got a caller. doubled up shortly after that i doubled again and I was back in bussiness. built my stack up to about 10K before I got moved to the table with the chip leader to my immediate left. and there he proceeded to stay. just kinda hung around stealing when i could.
He seemed to stay out of my way and me out of his.

finally they break my table and get moved to my new seat and who is to my left???????
none other than my buddy the chip leader, Jeez I can't catch a break.

I hang out stealing until the money which i make easily since i was 4th in chips with 40 left but got no great hands to speak of and knew that once the money hit all the short stacks would let loose. so hang out and we are down to 30 then 20 then 15 hmmm. I steal a few times since i have dropped to around 20k and lo and behold I make the Final table all from dead with 500 chips. I get knocked out 7th when i am in the BB with blinds of 1k/2k and the button limps
I have A2os and check flop come AA4, wow i am thinking of doubleing up since the limper had me by about 1k. he checks i think for about 1 sec then Push. he thinks and thinks then calls.
Yeah baby. ohh wait he has A10. dammm no 2 saves me and i am out 7th.

but all and all i was happy since I was patient and waited for the right hand to put it all in with.

another Quickie

another 25 min session at PB
ended up +61,
if this site was PT compatible it would be awsome since the players are sooooo bad.

quick hitter

Log into Poker blue while eating lunch.
Play a nice 20 min session of 2/4 and end up +59.00
the suckouts can be brutal but the games are very soft here.

Poker Blue wsop freeroll

- Freeroll to the WPT or WSOP. Each week Poker Blue give away a seat to a high profile WPT or WSOP event. With an average of just 125 players in these freerolls, the value is huge. To get entry, all you have to do is play 4 hours or more at real money $1/$2 (or higher) tables. The freeroll takes place every Sunday.

so logged in at 5:00 to kill some time before winning my wsop seat and sat down at a
2/4 table proceed to win $110 in about 30 min. The players at this site don't mind
calling down with bottom pair on a board of AKQ and they will flip over 33 and wonder why
they didn't win.

So the tourney starts with 147 or so. but 10 min in they pick up all the people who never showed and we are down to 127 or so.

never really got it going, But I was not patient enough
that is my biggest leak in tourneys.
if I can make it thru the first 30 min I can do pretty well.
maybe I should sit out the first 30 min every time.

Well I will have to win it next week.

UB saturday afternoon

So maybe I should just stay off of Ub during the day.

I sat down at the 4/8 table it has mini blinds of 1/2.
and proceed to get run over by the 1 obnoxious guy at the table.
he does tell me and anyone else who hadn't turned his chat off that he
was a limit pro and that I didnt know how to play.

sigh must be nice when you get runner runner to a flush after calling 3 cold with bottom pair.

so down $120 saturday afternoon. no big deal just not my day.

but added him to the buddy list i will have to look him up another time.

Goals!

Lately I have been floundering around playing Poker.
Having no real direction so I set a goal of winning $30 a day for the next 60 days.
it sounds so simple but yet we will see.
I currently have 5 days straight of over 30 dollars in winnings which isn't much in and of itself,
but my bankroll is growing so I can move up to 4/8.

Foxwoods

went to foxwoods today.

getting up at 5:30am which is a Drag, But since it is a 1 hour drive and I had to pick up my buddy Rob that is when the day started.
The tourney starts at 8:00. The cost is 45 + 15 so it is reasonable.
you start with 1500 chips and I never really got going.
we had one guy at the table to my immeditate left who got smacked in the face with the deck.
he ran up to 10k about 1 hour in. After making a few failed attempts to steal and losing most of my stack, I ended up pushing all in with A5 for less than the blind and who calls but the big guy with 55. He caught a 5 on the flop and a full house on the turn, IGHN

so since it is only 9:30 put my name on the list for the 4-8 game.
get seated at a new table with my Buddy Rob,
proceed to run my $100 buy in up to about 260 before giving some of it back after 3 hours.
cash out 180 so I made my tourney buyin back.

the play at the 4-8 tables is pretty week, typical hand would see 4-5 limpers in each hand.
even when i would raise would get 5 callers.

we had 1 old guy who would call down with any drawing hand and would shake his head when
he didnt get there pretty funny.

one guy thought 9-3os was a great hand to call a preflop raise with.

all in all i played pretty good shoulda let a few hands go earlier than I did.

Poker Blue

Playing at this New Site Poker Blue not alot of traffic but they are running a Promotion where, if you play 4 hours of ring (cash) games you get a ticket to thier weekly Freeroll for a Wsop or WPT event. they have had only 140 show up for the freeRoll so I will take those odds any day.

plus thier players are pretty bad so it is good on both ends.

Played a quick 20 min session at 2/4 limit , +48
they don't mind calling your raise down with bottom pair.
very very fishy.

will finish up my 4 hours tonight.

Welcome to my Poker Blog..

Inspired by Iggy, Billrini and linda at PokerWorks....

Despite months of telling myself I would never do it, I decided to start a poker blog. I play both Live and online and will be sharing my poker experiences and thoughts.

I usually play 1-2, 2-4 and lately some 3-6 Hold Em at Ultimate Bet and Party and most of my live play happens in Massachusetts and at Foxwoods casino.
