Here is a great article written by: I'm not paranoid, it's true:
Who do they represent? Well it happened again. Congress decided not to listen to its constituents again. Yep imagine that. It's not as if we are putting cancer patients in jail. Oh wait we are, and AIDS patients to. Recently the Hinchey Rohrabacher bill came up for a vote in the house of representatives. It was a bipartisan bill brought forth by Congressmen Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) and Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA), that would have barred federal funds from being used in arresting medical marijuana patients in the 11 states that have passed laws. Although it gathered more yes votes than ever before it still fell well short.
Here is the part where you ask who congress is listening to the people who voted them into office or those who line there pockets. What do I mean they aren't listening to the people?
Every single poll done of the American people either as a state or national in the last 11 years has come up pro for medical marijuana.
Did that sink in? Let me say it again to just make sure EVERY SINGLE POLL DONE IN THE LAST 11 YEARS HAS COME UP PRO FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA.
Don't believe me go check it out. I tell you what why you are there go ahead and check out both sides of the argument and see which side you take.
So why again have our elected officials refused to listen to the American people who have elected them to office. Do they just not care? We are supposed to have a representative government and well if that was true would they have looked at the polls. As I have said before and I will say again all drugs are NOT a criminal or a political issue they are a medical issue. It is time for congress to listen to its voters and do the right thing.
How did your representitive vote?
So go ask why they voted nay
